Founded by Amélie Lavoie in 2022, ALGN was created as a space where people could move, connect, and feel at home in their bodies.
What began as a studio focused on adult drop-in dance classes has grown into a community movement space in the heart of Whistler Village, offering dance, Pilates, stretch, mobility, special events, and more. Over the years, ALGN has welcomed thousands of people through its doors for classes, workshops, private bookings, performances, studio rentals, community events, and celebrations.
At its core, ALGN has always been about creating opportunities for people to come together through movement. Whether you're stepping into your very first class, returning to a longtime practice, or simply looking for a place to connect with others, you'll find a welcoming community and a space designed to move with you.
We believe movement should be accessible, enjoyable, and shared. That's why ALGN continues to evolve alongside the needs of our community, creating experiences that inspire people to move, connect, and have fun.
OUR STORY
ALGN is shaped by a diverse team of instructors, artists, and movement professionals from around the world.
As a seasonal mountain town, our team is always evolving. Some instructors are longtime locals, while others join us from different corners of the globe, bringing new perspectives, styles, and experiences into the studio. Together, they help create the welcoming, creative, and community-focused environment that makes ALGN what it is.
While the faces in the studio may change over time, our commitment to movement, connection, and creating meaningful experiences remains the same.
You can learn more about our current instructors through MindBody and within each class description when booking.
